The town’s railway viaduct, completed in 1851, is on the Harrogate Line between Leeds and York and traverses the River Nidd. Prints are available; click image for a larger preview.

View of Dubrovnik, Croatia from above on a bright, spring morning. The city of Dubrovnik, known throughout the ages as Ragusa, is on the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia. Founded in the 13th century, the city was an important Mediterranean sea power for centuries. The Old Town is encircled by a high stone wall with many defensive and lookout towers. Dubrovnik is a well-preserved example of a late-medieval walled city and the Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Prints available. Click image for a larger preview.

Puffy, white clouds glide over the parched landscape, creating dramatic shadows on the massive, eroded sandstone cliffs at Blue Mesa Reservoir near Gunnison, Colorado.
I made this photograph during a wonderful road trip Ruth and I made with my parents during October 2013.
Leaving from Denver, we traveled southwest through the Colorado Rockies, staying in Crested Butte and Ouray along the way. Following a day exploring and shopping in Durango, Colorado, we drove into northern New Mexico, where we stayed overnight in Farmington. Early the next morning we visited one of my favorite Native American historic sites – Aztec Ruin. We finished our trip staying in Albuquerque and Santa Fe for six nights before driving home to Colorado.
This is the first image I’ve posted from this trip; stay tuned for many more coming soon!

Black and white photograph of a wooden gate and stone fences within a deep limestone gorge along Winnats Road near Castleton in the High Peak District of England. In the distance, sheep graze high atop a grassy moor.
I made this photograph during the UK Photo Tour I led in June 2013. Our group explored and photographed a large area of central England, including spending many days in the Peak District. I lead workshops and photo tours around the world; for details and a calendar of upcoming events click here.
