Do you want to produce photographic art of the highest quality?
Have you ever thought of selling your work?
If you answered ‘yes’ and you’re looking for sure-fire techniques to elevate your photography to the realms of fine art, join us for this exclusive, live workshop taught by acclaimed photographic artist Nat Coalson ARPS.
You’ll learn steps to mastering the fine art photography workflow and employ powerful methods for consistently creating, producing, exhibiting and selling the highest-quality photographic art.
This class is not about ‘taking’ photos… It’s more about ‘making’ photographs that are expressive of your personal vision. You will learn how to develop your own personal style and cultivate a successful creative practice. These concepts apply to people doing any kind of photography that they intend to be marketed as ‘art’ … which can include landscapes, portraits, still life, abstracts etc. This class is certainly not about how to use a camera, lighting, etc. although we will cover the digital workflow required to produce digital fine art of the highest quality.
Suitable for photographers working at all levels and across all genres.
During this intensive, four-hour workshop you will gain insight to:
- How to develop your creative vision and unique style
- Effectively using photographic design
- The complete digital photo workflow
- Fine art printing and finishing
- Mounting and framing
- Exhibition production
- Working with galleries, dealers and consultants
- … and much more!
We’ll talk about everything that’s required to produce and market photographic art of the highest quality and expose you to crucial topics ranging from concept development to colour management. You’ll also learn key creative techniques in Lightroom and Photoshop (and which can also apply to any other editing software). And you’ll learn the ins-and-outs of selling photographic art in a variety of venues.
You may bring your own computer to take notes and follow along with demonstrations. (However, bringing your own computer is not required to participate.)
“I attended Nat Coalson’s workshop “Photography as Fine Art” recently, and found it to be an excellent course. Nat walked us through points all the way from seeing and defining your own work and style, through practical nuts and bolts demonstrations of printing, and on to valuable information on how to look at selling your work after you have created it. Nat is very knowledgeable and his presentation style is comfortable, friendly, open and professional. For anyone wanting a full overview on how to approach moving to Fine Art Photography, you cannot get a better course, or presenter, to show you the way to go.” —Catherine K., Leics
“I was impressed by Nat’s clear communication skills and practical, down to earth, approach. I have been using his services as coach and teacher in developing my photographic skills. Nat has definitely helped me raise the bar with his combination of creative, artistic eye, technical knowledge and empathy. I would recommend him highly and unreservedly to anyone wishing to do similar.” —Andrew K., Oxford
